Latvia is probably the first country in the world, which completely ignored the committee's decision on the UN Human Rights Council in writing of the names and surnames of Latvian passports. Continuing distortion of names and surnames Latvian origin without the permission of the owners is also in gross violation of EU law and signed legal agreements.

Say, if Obama wants to become a Latvian citizen, his name will changed to "Obamas" without his concent. Similarily, Berluskoni will become Berluskonis, Tom Kruis will become "Kruisonis", and Michael Jordan will become "Jordanis"
